BAFTA Film Awards 2025: How to Watch and Red Carpet Highlights

The BAFTA Film Awards ceremony is set to take place on Sunday at London’s Royal Festival Hall, with U.S. viewers able to watch the red carpet and ceremony on BritBox, while U.K. viewers can find the program on BBC One and iPlayer. The ceremony broadcast begins 7 p.m. local time and 2 p.m. ET/11 a.m. PT, hosted by David Tennant of “Doctor Who” fame for the second year. This year's top film contenders include “Conclave” and “Emilia Pérez” with 12 and 11 nominations, respectively, followed by “The Brutalist” with nine nominations.

The best film nominees are “Anora,” “The Brutalist,” “A Complete Unknown,” “Conclave” and “Emilia Perez,” with a talented pool of directors and actors vying for awards. Leading actress nominees include Cynthia Erivo for “Wicked,” Karla Sofía Gascón for “Emilia Pérez,” and Saoirse Ronan for “The Outrun,” while leading actor nominees include Adrien Brody for “The Brutalist,” Timothée Chalamet for “A Complete Unknown,” and Ralph Fiennes for “Conclave.” Some notable snubs include Denzel Washington for “Gladiator II” and Nicole Kidman for “Babygirl,” but surprises include Grant’s lead actor nomination and Jeremy Strong’s supporting actor nod for “The Apprentice.”

After the ceremony, the stars headed to exclusive clubs in London for the official after-parties, where they showcased their stylish outfit changes. From Selena Gomez's custom Schiaparelli look to Camilla Cabello in Sabina Bilenko, the fashion highlights were plentiful. It-Brit Alexa Chung attended the British Vogue x GQ BAFTA Fashion & Film Party at Tramp wearing a dreamy baby blue, lace fringed short and cami combo from Chloé, while Wicked star Cynthia Erivo opted for statement peplum power in a classic little black dress paired with a statement necklace featuring rubies and diamonds.

The after-parties saw a range of stylish ensembles, with many celebrities opting for little black dresses, including Hollywood legend Demi Moore and The Crown's Vanessa Kirby. However, some stars chose to stand out from the crowd, such as Bel Powley, who schooled us in colour clashing with a satin red mini dress paired with powder pink tights and matching satin pumps. British music legend Wretch 32 wore a soft mint green double-breasted blazer and trousers by DenzilPatrick, paired with a casual white underlayer, showcasing the diversity of fashion at the event.

The EE Rising Star nominees, including Madison, Marisa Abela, and Jharrel Jerome, were also in attendance, highlighting the talent of the next generation of actors. As the BAFTA Film Awards 2025 come to a close, it's clear that this year's ceremony was one to remember, with stunning red carpet looks, exciting award winners, and a celebration of the best in film.
