Samsung has officially announced the launch of its latest mid-range smartphones, the Galaxy A56 and A36, which are set to hit the market in late March. The devices will be available for pre-order in select regions, including Nigeria, with attractive perks such as a travel adapter, a Galaxy Fit3, and a premium phone cover. Customers in Nigeria can secure the devices by paying a deposit of 100,000 Naira ($216), with prices starting at ₦446,000 ($970) for the A36 (8GB + 128GB model) and ₦565,000 ($1,215) for the A56 (8GB + 128GB variant).
The Galaxy A56 and A36 are expected to feature 8GB of RAM, up to 256GB of storage, and a 50-megapixel triple rear camera system. The A56 is anticipated to run on the Exynos 1580 chipset, while the A36 is likely to be powered by either the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 or Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processors. Both phones are expected to support 45W wired fast charging and come with six years of software updates. Leaked images reveal that the Galaxy A56 will be available in four colors: blue, pink, green, and black, with a punch-hole display and a triple-camera setup.
Pre-order customers will also receive a silicone case, which may be one of the previously leaked designs. While pre-orders have begun in Nigeria, Samsung has not yet opened pre-orders in its larger markets, leading to speculation that these will start alongside the official launch. More details are expected to be confirmed soon, with just days left until the official reveal. The Galaxy A36 will be available on March 26 in black and lavender, with an exclusive lime color at Best Buy, while the Galaxy A26 will be available on March 28, exclusively in black.
The Galaxy A56, A36, and A26 are expected to share a 6.7-inch screen size and 1080x2340 resolution, with the A56 and A36 featuring in-display fingerprint sensors, and the A26's fingerprint sensor located in the power button. The devices will run on Android 15 with One UI 7, ensuring a smooth user experience, and will receive six years of OS and security updates, alongside advanced security features like Knox Vault and an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance. With the launch of the Galaxy A56, A36, and A26, Samsung continues to set the standard for feature-packed, affordable smartphones, offering powerful AI-driven enhancements, durable designs, and long-term software support.
