Chelsea FC Transfer News: Denner Evangelista Signing and Latest Rumors

Chelsea has reportedly agreed to sign another young talent from South America, with the Blues striking a deal with Brazilian giants Corinthians for the teenage defender Denner Evangelista. The deal is worth an initial €10million plus an extra €4m in performance-related add-ons, with a 15 per cent sell-on clause included in the transfer. Denner is said to be poised to sign a seven-year contract until 2032 and will make the move to Stamford Bridge in 2026, after he turns 18.

Denner is a 17-year-old, forward-thinking left-sided full-back who plays for Sao Paulo-based Corinthians in his native Brazil, having risen quickly through the youth ranks.

Denner has caught the eye with his impressive performances at Under-20 level, leading to the interest from Chelsea and other clubs across Europe. He is among the Brazilian starlets to have featured in the recent Copa Sao Paulo de Futebol Junior, AKA the Copinha, the prestigious tournament for U20 teams in Sao Paulo. Brazilian U17 international Denner scored the opening goal in the final with a powerful effort from inside the box, beating a defender for strength after tracking a fine lofted pass forward and then cutting inside before lashing home at the near post. He registered three goals and one assist in total during the Copinha, as one of the stars of the annual competition.

Other Premier League clubs have been given a significant advantage in the race to sign Ademola Lookman this summer, as Atalanta are more inclined to sell abroad. Meanwhile, Bayern Munich boss Vincent Kompany is tracking Brighton 'keeper Bart Verbruggen - but it will cost the Bundesliga giants £50m to tempt the south coast club into cashing in.
