Manchester United and England forward Marcus Rashford, 27, is prepared to turn his January loan move to Aston Villa into a permanent deal, according to reports. Rashford has been linked with a number of moves abroad, including European giants Barcelona and Bayern Munich, but he is veering towards the idea of remaining in England and in the Premier League rather than relocating overseas. The striker, desperate to reclaim his spot in the England squad under new Three Lions chief Thomas Tuchel, believes that Unai Emery is the perfect manager to resurrect his Premier League and international career.

Liverpool have a growing interest in Newcastle and Sweden forward Alexander Isak, while Arsenal also remain keen on a move for the 25-year-old. Arsenal might have to sell Belgium forward Leandro Trossard, 30, or their 23-year-old Brazil winger Gabriel Martinelli to fund a summer rebuild, with both players targets for Saudi Pro League clubs. Victor Osimhen is keen on a transfer to Manchester United, although they will need to overcome several major clubs to sign the 26-year-old Nigeria striker, who is on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli. Manchester United are prepared to offload Denmark forward Rasmus Hojlund, 22, in order to gain Osimhen's signature.

Chelsea remain keen on the possibility of signing Borussia Dortmund and Germany winger Karim Adeyemi, who is valued at 45m euros (£37.1m). Manchester City are keen to sign a goalkeeper to replace Brazilian Ederson, 31, this summer and the club are in talks with Porto over a move for 25-year-old Portugal international Diogo Costa. Bayern Munich have withdrawn their offer of a new contract to Germany midfielder Joshua Kimmich after becoming frustrated with the 30-year-old's hesitation to extend his deal. Barcelona have expressed an interest in AC Milan's Portugal winger Rafael Leao, 25. Newcastle United are pursuing a deal to sign Burnley's English goalkeeper James Trafford, 22.

The Premier League could be forced to have two separate transfer windows this summer because of disruption caused by the Club World Cup. Manchester United plan to build a new stadium rather than redevelop Old Trafford, with a capacity of 100,000 expected and a cost of £2billion. The new stadium will be built on land adjacent to the Red Devils' current home, with the target for completion by 2030. The club have appointed the architects Foster + Partners to come up with a "masterplan". Manchester United are also looking to not only build a stadium but regenerate the area of Trafford where the ground will stand.

Some of the key transfer news and updates include:

  • Manchester United:
    • Marcus Rashford to Aston Villa (permanent deal)
    • Victor Osimhen from Napoli (potential transfer)
    • Rasmus Hojlund to be offloaded (potential transfer)

The transfer window is expected to be busy, with many clubs looking to strengthen their squads. The Premier League could be affected by the Club World Cup, which may cause disruption to the transfer window.
