The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the release of the exam city intimation slip for the Joint CSIR UGC NET December 2024 session. Candidates who have successfully registered for the examination can now access their allotted exam city details through the official website, csirnet.nta.ac.in. The exam city intimation slip is a crucial document that informs candidates about the city where their examination center will be located. However, it is essential to note that this is not the admit card, which will be released separately at a later date. To download the exam city intimation slip, candidates need to log in using their application number and date of birth.
The NTA has provided a step-by-step guide to help candidates access their slips without any hassle. Candidates can follow these steps: visit the official website of CSIR UGC NET at csirnet.nta.ac.in, look for the link titled “CSIR UGC NET – Download City Intimation Slip” on the homepage, click on the link to proceed to the login page, enter the application number and date of birth in the required fields, submit the details to view the exam city intimation slip, and download the slip and take a printout for future reference. The NTA has advised candidates to carefully review the details on the slip and contact the helpdesk in case of any discrepancies or difficulties. Once announced, candidates who appeared in the exam will be able to download the results by visiting the official website – ugcnet.nta.ac.in. They will be required to enter their login credentials to access the results. The NTA released the provisional answer key for the UGC NET December 2024 exam on January 31, 2025. Candidates were given time to raise objections against the answer key until February 3, 2025. The agency will release the final answer key after carefully considering the objections raised by the candidates. The exam was conducted from January 3 to January 27, 2025, and over 6,49,490 candidates participated, resulting in an overall attendance of 76.5 per cent. The NTA conducts the UGC-NET exam on behalf of the University Grants Commission (UGC) to determine whether Indian nationals are eligible for roles as Assistant Professors or for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor positions in Indian universities and colleges. The UGC-NET has been conducted in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) format since December 2018.

The record of UGC NET December 2024 will be preserved for up to 90 days from the date of declaration of the UGC NET December 2024 result. The UGC NET is held twice a year, in June and December, for the appointment of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professorship, and admissions to PhD programmes. According to the UGC NET December 2024 marking scheme, each question carried two marks and no negative marks would be cut for incorrect responses. Questions unanswered, un-attempted or marked for review would also not fetch any marks.
