The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has extended the registration date for the recruitment of various RRB D positions (CEN number 08/2024) to March 1, 2025. The application window was previously scheduled to close on February 22, but candidates can now apply until March 1. Additionally, the last date to pay the exam fee has been extended to March 3, 2025. The modification window for corrections in the application form with payment of the modification fee will be open from March 4 to March 13, 2025.

RRB will fill 32,438 positions in Level 1 of the 7th CPC pay matrix, and interested candidates can apply on the official website of the RRBs at rrbapply.gov.in. The recruitment offers various positions, including Assistant Bridge, Assistant C&W, Assistant Depot (Stores), Assistant Loco Shed (Diesel), Track Maintainer, Cabin Man, Pointsman, and others. Candidates are advised to refer to the official notification for detailed information on the vacancies for each post. The registration process requires candidates to pay an application fee of Rs 500, which will be refunded after deducting bank charges once the candidate appears for the CBT.

Applicants belonging to categories such as PWBD, female, transgender, ex-servicemen, SC, ST, minority communities, and EBC are required to pay only Rs. 250, which will also be refunded after deducting bank charges. The age limit for candidates should be 18 to 36 years as of January 1, 2025. As a one-time measure due to the Covid-19 pandemic, an age relaxation of 3 years has been given to those aspirants who might have missed previous recruitment opportunities. Candidates should ensure that they meet the medical standards required for the positions they have chosen, and if a candidate fails to pass the prescribed medical examination for a selected post, they will not be considered for that position.

Candidates who are currently employed (including those undergoing induction training or probation) in any central or state government department, including railways or public sector undertakings, may apply directly to the RRBs or RRCs. The initial pay will be Rs 18,000, as per the official notification. Candidates should note that the date of birth filled in the application should be the same as recorded in the Matriculation /SSLC or an equivalent certificate. The selection of candidates will be done through a four-stage process, and candidates who have passed Class 10 or ITI or equivalent or have a National Apprenticeship Certificate granted by the NCVT can apply for these vacancies.
