The Pokémon GO Tour: Unova Global event is just around the corner, taking place on March 1, 2025, and March 2, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time each day. To maximize your two-day tour experience, it's essential to prepare in advance. One crucial step is to transfer Pokémon to Professor Willow to free up space in your storage, as you'll likely catch many Pokémon during the event. Additionally, clean your item storage to avoid having to make difficult decisions about what to keep and what to discard during the event.
The Tour Pass is a new feature this year, providing Trainers with an opportunity to earn Tour Points to unlock rewards and improve event bonuses. The Tour Pass is free, and Trainers will automatically receive their Tour Pass on February 24, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. local time. For better rewards, Trainers can purchase the Tour Pass Deluxe in the in-game shop for US$14.99. The Tour Pass Deluxe offers additional rewards, including an encounter with Victini, encounters with event-themed Pokémon, a new item called a Lucky Trinket, and more. The Lucky Trinket allows Trainers to turn one friend from their Friend List into a Lucky Friend, which can be beneficial for trading and other activities. To make the most of the event, consider powering up your Pokémon, stocking up on essential items like Poké Balls and Revives, and practicing your throwing skills to make Nice, Great, and Excellent Throws.
Black Kyurem and White Kyurem are making their Pokémon GO debuts in five-star raids during this year's Pokémon GO Tour events. To prepare for these raids, choose a dozen or so Pokémon to challenge Black Kyurem and White Kyurem and power your teams up before the event kicks off. Having a well-prepared team will ensure that you don't have to stop to revive your Pokémon before diving into another raid. Additionally, consider coordinating your Special Trades ahead of time, as Trades made during the event will cost half the usual Stardust. Don't forget to collect Incense, Incubators, Star Pieces, and Lucky Eggs to maximize your Stardust and XP gains during the event.
Several Shiny Pokémon are making their Pokémon GO debuts during this event, including Shiny Meloetta, Shiny Deerling, Shiny Maractus, Shiny Sigilyph, and Shiny Bouffalant. To increase your chances of catching these Shiny Pokémon, make sure to participate in the event's hourly rotating habitats and complete research tasks. The event also features a Special Trade, allowing Trainers to swap Pokémon that can't be traded normally, including Legendary Pokémon and Shiny Pokémon. With the event's many activities and rewards, it's essential to plan your snacks and meals in advance and take occasional breaks to avoid burnout.
In addition to the event's many features and rewards, Niantic is offering three Timed Research codes that reward the Incarnate Formes of Tornadus, Thundurus, and Landorus upon completion. These codes can be redeemed on the official Pokémon GO code redemption page and must be completed before March 2, 2025, at 9 pm local time. To complete these research tasks, Trainers must catch 156 Pokémon originally discovered in the Unova region, which can be achieved with the help of the upcoming Pokémon GO Spotlight Hour featuring Snivy, Tepig, and Oshawott. With careful preparation and planning, Trainers can make the most of the Pokémon GO Tour: Unova Global event and catch many rare and legendary Pokémon.
