Vick Hope, a well-known TV and radio presenter, has been announced as the new presenter of BBC One's Countryfile, joining the likes of John Craven, Matt Baker, and Anita Rani. Hope, who has previously appeared on Strictly Come Dancing and I'm A Celebrity, will make her debut on the show on Sunday, March 9, 2025, as she explores Kielder Forest in Northumberland alongside Matt Baker. The forest, which holds a special place in Hope's heart, is undergoing a transformative journey to ensure a thriving habitat for wildlife and enhance the lives of the local community.
Hope's first assignment will involve discovering how Kielder Forest is being reimagined for the future, and she will also visit the Kielder Salmon Centre to collect juvenile freshwater pearl mussels. The presenter has expressed her excitement about joining the Countryfile team, stating that spending time in nature has always been important to her. Hope grew up near Kielder Forest and has fond memories of orienteering there as a child, making her first assignment a full circle moment.
