Jade Thirlwall Wins Best Pop Act at BRIT Awards, Addresses Little Mix Reunion and Awkward Moments

The 2025 BRIT Awards saw Jade Thirlwall take home the award for Best Pop Act, beating out competition from Charli XCX, Dua Lipa, Lola Young, and Myles Smith. The former Little Mix star was clearly emotional as she accepted the award, and gave a heartfelt speech thanking her fans, team, and family for their support. She also paid tribute to her former Little Mix bandmates, saying they "changed her life" and she was "so grateful" for the experience.

However, the night was not without its awkward moments, as host Jack Whitehall made a series of jokes that left Jade and the audience uncomfortable. At one point, he referenced the recent scandal surrounding Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby, asking Jade if her relationship with her Little Mix bandmates was similar to the former TV co-stars. Jade expertly deflected the question, saying she thought Little Mix was more like the band Five, who had recently announced their reunion. Jack then pressed her for more information about a potential Little Mix reunion, and Jade confirmed that the group would "absolutely" get back together in the future.

Things took a turn for the awkward when Jack started discussing Jade's merchandise website, which sells adult toys and other racy items. He joked that he was wearing one of the toys, but quickly became embarrassed when he realized he was sitting next to Jade's mother. The moment was met with a mix of laughter and discomfort from the audience, and Jade herself looked visibly uncomfortable. Despite the awkwardness, Jade handled the situation with grace and humor, joking that Jack must have bought one of the toys and asking if he was wearing it.

In addition to Jade's win, the BRIT Awards saw a number of other notable winners, including Charli XCX, who took home the award for Song of the Year, and Sam Fender, who won the award for Best Alt/Rock Act. The ceremony also featured performances from a number of artists, including Jade herself, who performed her single "Angel of My Dreams". The awards were presented by a number of celebrities, including Mutya Buena, Keisha Buchanan, and Siobhán Donaghy of the Sugababes, who presented Jade with her award.
