The 2025 BRIT Awards took place on Saturday night, and it was certainly a night to remember, with Sabrina Carpenter and Jade Thirlwall leading the charge with their racy performances. The ceremony, which was hosted by comedian Jack Whitehall, saw some of the biggest names in music take to the stage, but it was Carpenter and Thirlwall who stole the show with their sultry and suggestive dance moves.
Carpenter, who opened the ceremony, debuted some saucy and suggestive dance moves on stage, including a scene where she slid down a Beefeater dancer before the camera closed on his face and he winked, suggesting oral sex. Her performance was met with a mixed reaction from fans, with some praising her confidence and others criticizing her for being too explicit. Thirlwall, on the other hand, had one of her dancers flash their bare bum during her show, with the words "FUFN" written across his bottom in black marker pen, which is the title of her upcoming single.
Other performers on the night included Lola Young, who poured washing detergent on to the floor as she belted out the lyrics to her smash hit single Messy, and The Last Dinner Party, who scooped the award for Best New Artist and performed their song Nothing Matters. The ceremony also saw a tribute to Liam Payne, who passed away last year, with a montage of him laughing, singing, and crafting music playing while One Direction's song Little Things rang throughout the venue.
The winners of the night included Charli XCX, who took home five awards, including Best British Album, Best British Artist, Best Dance Act, and Song of the Year for her song Guess featuring Billie Eilish. Other winners included Raye, who won the award for Best R&B Act, and Sabrina Carpenter, who won the BRITs Global Success award. The award, which is given to an artist with phenomenal global sales, was presented to Carpenter by Millie Bobby Brown, who made a surprise appearance on the Brits carpet.
The BRIT Awards ceremony was marked by its usual glamour and excitement, with many of the attendees taking to the red carpet to show off their stylish outfits. The event was hosted by Jack Whitehall, who kept the tone light and entertaining throughout the night, even taking a swipe at some of the attendees, including Teddy Swims and KSI. The ceremony was also notable for its tribute to Liam Payne, which was a touching moment in an otherwise lively and entertaining evening.
