The 56th annual NAACP Image Awards have come to a close, with Beyonce and her daughter Blue Ivy emerging as two of the night's biggest winners. The ceremony, which was held virtually and will air on BET and CBS, saw the mother-daughter duo take home top honors in their respective categories. Beyonce won two awards, including Outstanding Female Artist and Outstanding Album for her history-making project "Cowboy Carter".

Blue Ivy, who made her feature film debut in the Disney movie "Mufasa: The Lion King", won Outstanding Character Voiceover Performance for her role as Kiara, the daughter of Simba and Nala. The film, which is a prequel to "The Lion King", also stars Beyonce as the voice of Nala and Donald Glover as the voice of Simba. The NAACP Image Awards recognize excellence in entertainment and media, with a focus on promoting diversity and inclusion.

In addition to Beyonce and Blue Ivy, other winners at the NAACP Image Awards included Kendrick Lamar, who won Outstanding Song – Hip-Hop/Rap for "Not Like Us", and Doechii, who was named Outstanding New Artist. The Netflix film "The Six Triple Eight" also earned several awards, including Outstanding Ensemble Cast in a Motion Picture. The winners were announced during a virtual ceremony that aired on the NAACP Image Awards YouTube channel, with the televised ceremony set to air on February 22 on BET and CBS.

The NAACP Image Awards are just the latest in a long line of accolades for Beyonce, who has had a record-breaking year. In addition to her wins at the NAACP Image Awards, she also made history at the Grammys, taking home awards for Best Country Album and Album of the Year for "Cowboy Carter".
