Cancer research is a significant aspect of the event, with many participants swimming to raise funds and awareness for the cause.

Among the notable participants were Wanneroo twins Chelsea and Emily Unwin, who completed the swim solo after dedicating it to their father, Leslie, who died from lymphoma in January last year. The twins had previously swum the channel as a duo in 2022 and were determined to fulfill their promise to their father. The event also saw veteran Rottnest Channel solo swimmer Andrew Page cross the finish line for his 44th time. The swimmers were supported by family, friends, and spectators, with Premier Roger Cook and independent MP Kate Chaney in attendance.

The results of the top finishers were as follows:

  • Max Coten: 4 hours, 2 minutes
