The Lake Oswego Police Department has released a surveillance photo of a suspect in the shooting at the home of SAIF CEO Chip Terhune. The shooting occurred on February 21 at around 4 a.m. and caused minor damage to the front door of the home. Terhune, who is the CEO of the not-for-profit company that provides workers compensation insurance in Oregon, said in an email to staff that he did not realize what had happened at first and thought someone had thrown rocks at his house. What he heard turned out to be gunshots. The suspect was wearing all dark clothes with a possible hoodie or ski mask, and carrying a light-colored object in his hand.

Investigators believe the shooter had a vehicle parked nearby and are asking anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious near Melrose Place and Melrose Street to call the Lake Oswego Police Detectives tip line at 503-635-0232 and reference case #25-1071. The investigation is ongoing, and the FBI is also assisting in the case. Terhune has been working with police and has encouraged company employees to speak up if they have concerns. He also mentioned that he had received a threatening email that referenced knowledge of employee and relatives' names and addresses.

The email threat has raised concerns about the safety of SAIF employees, and Terhune has urged them to be vigilant and aware of their surroundings. The shooting has also sparked concerns about the potential for targeted attacks on corporate executives. The incident is similar to a recent shooting in New York City, where UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson was gunned down outside a hotel. The accused assassin, Luigi Mangione, had raged about America's healthcare system before the killing.

The Lake Oswego Police Department is still investigating the motive behind the shooting and is asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect. The department has released a grainy CCTV image of the gunman, which shows the suspect wearing all dark clothes and a possible hoodie or ski mask. The image has been shared on social media, and the police are hoping that someone will come forward with information about the suspect's identity.

In the meantime, SAIF employees are on high alert, and the company is taking steps to ensure their safety. The incident has also raised questions about the security measures in place at corporate executives' homes and the potential for targeted attacks. The police are urging anyone with information about the shooting to come forward and are offering a tip line for people to call with any information. The case is ongoing, and the police are working diligently to investigate the matter and bring the perpetrator to justice.
