Paris Hilton, the renowned reality TV star and fashion icon, has opened up her coveted closet to raise money for the Los Angeles wildfire relief fund. Teaming up with fashion resale platform Vestiaire Collective, Hilton listed almost 100 items she called “personal treasures” that “hold so many memories.” The collection included a range of luxury labels, such as Mugler, Balenciaga, Versace, and Miu Miu, as well as iconic Y2K-era items like Juicy Couture tracksuits and a Louis Vuitton “Chrissie” cloth handbag. According to Vestiaire Collective, all of Hilton’s listed items sold out in less than a day, with most selling in under three hours, demonstrating the power of celebrity influence and the impact of social media on charitable causes.

The proceeds from the sale will be distributed to wildfire charities via 11:11 Media Impact, a nonprofit organization founded by Hilton, who was also impacted by the fires last month. Hilton’s Malibu home, where she had lived with her husband Carter Reum and son Phoenix, was among the properties destroyed in the wildfires. Despite her loss, Hilton has been actively involved in relief efforts, launching an emergency fund for fire victims and donating $100,000. She has also fostered a dog named Zuzu from an animal shelter after the pooch’s family lost their home in Altadena, showcasing her commitment to helping those in need.

Hilton is the latest celebrity to take part in charitable closet sales, following in the footsteps of Kate Moss, Julianne Moore, Natasha Lyonne, and Parker Posey, who all donated garments to luxury consignment site TheRealReal last October, in aid of the climate change organization, Conservation International. The trend of celebrity closet sales has gained momentum in recent years, with many stars using their platforms to raise money for various causes. Hilton’s sale has been particularly successful, with fans and fashion enthusiasts clamoring to get their hands on her iconic items.

Some of the notable items included in the sale were a purple velour Juicy Couture tracksuit, a Louis Vuitton “Chrissie” cloth handbag, and a floral Diane Von Furstenberg wrap dress. The collection also featured a range of designer handbags, including a Louis Vuitton x Murakami bag and a faux fur Balenciaga cross-body. Prices for the items ranged from $75 to $2,250, making them accessible to a wide range of buyers. The sale has been seen as a huge success, with all items selling out quickly and raising a significant amount of money for the wildfire relief efforts.
