Three men from Chile, identified as part of a South American theft ring, have been indicted for a high-profile burglary at the home of Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow. The incident, which occurred on December 9, resulted in the theft of nearly $300,000 worth of luxury items, including designer luggage, watches, and jewelry. The suspects, Jordan Francisco Quiroga Sanchez, Bastian Alejandro Orellana Morales, and Sergio Andres Ortega Cabello, face federal charges for transporting stolen goods across state lines and falsifying records.

According to court documents, the burglars exploited a shift change in Burrow's security detail to break into his Anderson Township home. While the security team was stationed at the front of the property, the suspects entered through a rear bedroom window. The break-in was discovered by Olivia Ponton, an influencer staying at the home, who alerted authorities. Investigators later recovered a trail camera image showing one of the suspects carrying luggage through a wooded area behind the house.

The suspects were apprehended in January after a traffic stop in Ohio. Authorities found stolen items, including a Louisiana State University shirt and a Cincinnati Bengals hat, in their rented SUV. Additionally, they were in possession of glass-breaking tools commonly used in burglaries. The men, who entered the U.S. illegally or overstayed their visas, claimed they were in Ohio to "see the snow." However, investigators uncovered photos of the suspects posing with stolen luxury items, including Burrow's custom JB9 pendant, in Florida days after the burglary.

This case highlights the growing concern over South American theft groups operating in the U.S. These transnational criminal organizations often target high-value properties, using rental vehicles and fake identification to evade detection. The investigation into Burrow's burglary remains ongoing, with authorities emphasizing that these suspects represent only the "tip of the iceberg" in a broader network of criminal activity.
