Hill Dickinson Forms Strategic Alliance with Marshall Islands Law Firm Reeder Simpson & Magee

Hill Dickinson, a leading international maritime law firm, has announced a strategic alliance with Marshall Islands attorneys, Reeder Simpson & Magee (RSM), as part of its international growth strategy. This move expands the firm's offshore legal jurisdictions desk in Piraeus, Greece, with an increased advisory and legal opinion offering for Marshall Islands and Liberian law. The new alliance, which takes effect from Monday, 24 February 2025, will enable both firms to retain their own identity and client base while drawing on each other's knowledge, expertise, and resources.

The alliance marks a significant development for Hill Dickinson's dedicated offshore legal jurisdictions team in Piraeus, which has been in operation since 2021. RSM will relaunch and rebrand in alliance with Hill Dickinson in Piraeus, with Reeder & Simpson P.C. having previously been based in Greece under the leadership of former partner Ray Simpson. The added specializations of RSM partners Dennis Reeder and Damien Magee will further strengthen the overall offering to the maritime sector internationally, with expertise in corporate and maritime transactions, disputes, and litigation. Reeder is qualified in the Marshall Islands and specializes in corporate and maritime transactions, and in disputes, legal proceedings, and litigation.
