The Ottawa Bluesfest has announced its highly anticipated 2025 lineup, boasting an impressive array of talented performers, including headliners Green Day, Shania Twain, and Kaytranada. The 31st edition of the festival will take place from July 10 to 20 at LeBreton Flats Park, featuring four stages dedicated to live music, with three outdoor stages and one indoor stage at the Canadian War Museum. This year's lineup promises to be one of the most exciting yet, with a diverse range of acts that cater to various musical tastes.

The festival's executive and artistic director, Mark Monahan, expressed his enthusiasm for the 2025 lineup, stating that it offers "something for everyone." The headlining acts include American punk trio Green Day, Canadian country queen Shania Twain, and British hard rockers Def Leppard, all of whom are set to make their Bluesfest debut. Other notable performers include Irish hitmaker Hozier, country darling Lainey Wilson, hardcore punks Turnstile, rock band Papa Roach, and Canadian electronic producer Kaytranada. The lineup also features a strong selection of homegrown musicians, such as Charlotte Day Wilson, Dwayne Gretzky, and Sarah Harmer.

The support acts for this year's festival are particularly strong, with well-curated matchups like the Red Clay Strays opening for Lainey Wilson, the Pixies opening for Turnstile, and Rage Against the Machine's Tom Morello and his new band performing ahead of Def Leppard. Other noteworthy participants include Father John Misty, The Cat Empire, Kurt Vile and the Violators, Alan Doyle, Daughtry, The Decemberists, and many more. The festival will also showcase a contingent of about 40 Ottawa-area bands, including folk trio Leverage For Mountains, jazzy funksters Funk Yo Self, and bluesman J.W-Jones.
