The Graham Norton Show is set to return to BBC One this Friday at 10.40pm with a star-studded lineup, featuring some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry. Among this week's guests is Roscommon actor Chris O'Dowd, who will be chatting about his new comedy drama series, Small Town, Big Story, which is coming to Sky Atlantic and NOW later this month. The six-part series stars Mad Men actress Christina Hendricks and is set in the fictional town of Drumbán, a rural village of rattled misfits on the border of Ireland.
Also appearing on Friday's Graham Norton Show is Trainspotting and Star Wars actor Ewan McGregor, who is set to return to the London stage for the first time in 17 years to star in My Master Builder, a new play by American playwright and screenwriter Lila Raicek. McGregor stars as an architect, Henry Solness, whose wife throws him a party in the Hamptons to celebrate the unveiling of his new work. Joining Chris and Ewan on Friday's show is Oscar-nominated actress Kate Hudson, who will be chatting about her new career as a singer-songwriter.
Kate Hudson, known for hit films such as Almost Famous and How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, released her first solo album, Glorious, last year, with the LP earning praise from music critics. She'll be chatting about her music career with Graham on Friday night as well as her new Netflix comedy series Running Point, which follows a reformed party girl who must prove herself as a businesswoman when she's unexpectedly put in charge of her family's pro basketball team. Rounding out this week's line-up is James Bond and Moonlight star Naomie Harris, who stars in the new Steven Soderbergh thriller Black Bag.
The upcoming film, which also stars Irish actor Michael Fassbender and Oscar winner Cate Blanchett, is about a legendary intelligence agent who faces the ultimate test when his beloved wife is suspected of betraying the nation. There will also be music from British singer-songwriter Self Esteem, who performs her latest single Focus Is Power. The Graham Norton Show airs this Friday at 10.40pm on BBC One, and viewers can also watch the full episode on BBC iPlayer.
