Amanda Holden, a judge on Britain's Got Talent, has spoken out about an amusing gaffe she made during her Heart Breakfast show on Thursday, February 27. Her co-host, Jamie Theakston, brought up the incident the following day, mentioning that "we have had a couple of messages" about Amanda's unusual pronunciation of the word 'trounced'. Despite pronouncing it with an 'Australian accent' and adding a 'ch' sound at the end, Amanda light-heartedly reassured listeners that she understood the word's meaning, stating that she knew what she meant and has an A-level in English.

This recent exchange between Jamie and Amanda comes just over a month after Jamie returned to the show following his diagnosis and treatment for stage one Laryngeal cancer, also known as throat cancer. During Jamie's five-month absence, Amanda was joined by Jason King on their Heart radio show. Amanda made her television comeback last Saturday with the premiere of the new series of Britain's Got Talent on ITV. Amanda, Simon Cowell, and Piers Morgan have been presenting the show since its inception in 2007, following the debut of its American counterpart a year earlier.
