Adrien Brody Breaks Record for Longest Oscars Acceptance Speech

Adrien Brody has broken the record for the longest ever Oscars acceptance speech, speaking for five minutes and 40 seconds after winning the Best Actor award for his role in The Brutalist. The 51-year-old actor beat out competition from A Complete Unknown’s Timothée Chalamet and Conclave’s Ralph Fiennes to win the award, and his speech was filled with heartfelt thanks to his partner, Georgina Chapman, and her children, India and Dashiell. The term Popsy is a special moniker that India and Dashiell use to refer to Brody, and it was a touching moment in the speech.
