Exit Poll Results 2024 LIVE Updates: Congress do not participate in exit poll debates

As the nationwide voting for the Lok Sabha Election 2024 concludes today, several agencies are set to release their exit poll predictions. Exit poll data cannot be disclosed by news channels and pollsters until the conclusion of the final phase of voting, Section 126A of the Representation of the People's Act, 1951 mandate . Failure to adhere to this rule may lead to penalties including imprisonment for a maximum of two years, imposition of a fine, or both.

All political parties have also geared up to respond to the exit poll data. Opposition parties such as Samajwadi Party have called it “BJP’s Exit polls”.

Meanwhile, INDIA bloc parties took a u-turn on Exit Polls after announcing on May 31 that the party will not participate in any exit poll debates on television channels. “INDIA parties met and decided to expose the bjp and its ecosystem on the prefixed exit polls. After considering factors for and against participating in the exit polls, it has been decided by consensus that all the INDIA parties will participate in the exit poll debates on television this evening,” Mr Khera said on X (formerly: Twitter)

The exit polls for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections will be released live by several agencies with their predictions on June 1, following the completion of the final voting phase. Voting for the last phase will continue until 6 pm on Saturday, with exit poll results going live after 6:30 pm.

The long-drawn election for all 543 parliamentary seats, and 175-member Andhra Pradesh assembly, 60-member Arunachal Pradesh assembly, 147-member Odisha assembly and 32-member Sikkim assembly began on April 19 and witnessed millions of people casting their ballots. While the voting for the Sikkim assembly elections and Arunachal Pradesh assembly polls was held in a single phase on April 19, the polling for the Andhra Pradesh assembly elections was held in a single phase on May 13. The Odisha assembly elections were held in four phases - May 13, May 20, May 25, and June 1.

The results for the Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim assembly elections will be announced on June 2 while results for Odisha and Andhra Pradesh will be declared on June 4, along with the 2024 Lok Sabha election results.
