Nottingham Forest and Tottenham Hotspur are the latest teams to join the race for Inter Milan midfielder Davide Frattesi, who has been at the center of speculation during the winter transfer market. The Italy international has been linked with several clubs, including Roma and Napoli, but it seems that the Nerazzurri are reluctant to lose him mid-way through the season. However, with the summer transfer window approaching, negotiations for his exit are expected to resume, and Forest and Spurs are among the teams interested in signing him.

According to reports, Nottingham Forest are keeping a close eye on Frattesi and could approach Inter to sign him next summer, especially if they qualify for the Champions League. The midfielder has recorded four goals and two assists in 21 Serie A appearances this season, despite starting only five times. Inter are expected to demand a fee in the region of £35 million for the midfielder, who has won 25 senior caps for Italy. Frattesi's potential arrival at Forest would see him compete with the likes of Elliot Anderson, Danilo, Nicolas Dominquez, and Ryan Yates for a starting spot in the midfield.

Tottenham Hotspur are also interested in signing Frattesi, who has been dubbed a "big-name" player in Simone Inzaghi's squad. The north London outfit were keen on landing the 25-year-old last summer, but their bid was rebuffed. However, Inter's stance could change this summer, with the report suggesting that the Italian club's president Giuseppe Marotta is now considering a sale. The player himself is also thought to be leaning towards an exit, giving Spurs hope that a deal can be struck. Frattesi has scored four goals and added two assists in 30 appearances in all competitions, with the majority of his outings coming as a No.8, although he has also the ability to play further forward in a more creative role.

Frattesi's stats for Inter Milan are impressive, with

  • 74 appearances
  • 21 starts
  • 12 goals
  • 9 assists
since joining the Serie A champions. He has also won 25 senior caps for Italy, scoring eight times, having made his debut back in 2022. The midfielder is a box-to-box player by nature, bringing energy to the middle of the park and capable of being the trigger for intensity in his team. He thrives on getting into spaces between the lines and is a capable ball carrier. Tottenham are willing to offer £24.8 million to wrap up a deal for Frattesi, although it's unclear how much Inter are likely to demand for a player who is valued at £26.5 million on Transfermarkt and remains under contract until 2028.

The summer transfer window is expected to be busy, with several teams interested in signing Frattesi. Nottingham Forest and Tottenham Hotspur are among the favorites to land the midfielder, but other teams, including Juventus and Newcastle United, are also in the running. The midfielder's future will depend on various factors, including the offers he receives and his personal preferences. One thing is certain, though: Frattesi is a talented player who can make a significant impact on any team he joins, and his potential arrival at Forest or Spurs would be a major coup for either club.
